Nowadays there are different points of view on studying required courses by high school students. Some people think these subjects should be obligatory studied in school because they are useful for everyone. Others, on the contrary, claim that compulsory subjects are pointless and needless to attend. Let me express my own opinion.

To my mind, it's worth for high school students to study required courses. First all of all, mathematics, natural sciences, humanitarian subjects help people better understand themselves and the world around them. Secondly, knowledge got by required courses allow person to learn his or her own interests, make a proper decision choosing future career. What is more, studying compulsory subjects develops discipline in students and increase their general level of intelligence and culture.

However, there are people who have the opposing opinion.

They believe obligatory courses may distract young people from studying things they are really interested in. Moreover, compulsory subjects do not give practical skills to students, that is why it is not necessary to study them.

Nevertheless, I disagree with these statements. In my opinion, responsible students can easily succeed in required courses and the subjects they prefer. In addition, information in different spheres of live is connected to each other. So everyone has opportunity to find practical use for basic school knowledge.

In conclusion, I would like to say that education becomes the leading factor in the development of the individual and society. That is why all subjects are really important for students and can be used in their future.
