It is generally agreed that childhood is the best part of our life but is it the safest one? Some of us think that early years are safe enough while the others believe that it may be a cause of many dangers.

In my opinion, childhood is truly the safest period of our life, in case we have nice and decent parents. First of all, your relatives will protect us from hunger. Secondly, they will treat and call for a doctor if you are ill and running a temperature. Thirdly, being teenagers, youngsters usually start taking drugs, alcohol and meet with bad guys. It is their parents to explain them how harmful it is for the mental and physical health. That’s why I think that it is the safest time in people’s life.

On the other hand, there are people who think that childhood is really dangerous. They say that kids are stupid enough to kill themselves with electricity, chemicals, etc.

Furthermore, there is an opinion that children can be easily kidnaped, while adults can stand up almost any danger.

Yet, I do not agree with the opposing opinion, because the children are supposed to have a sort of self-protection instinct that prevents them from dangers.

All in all, I consider childhood to be the best and most protected time of a person’s life, provided he has good parents.
