In today’s world the problem of ways to succeed causes great argument and controversy. Some people believe that it is necessary to possess the basic computer skills to achieve success while others do not agree with them.

My personal view is that computer literacy is the basis of success. To start with, all relevant information is in the Internet now. Who owns the information, he owns the world, and access to this information is possible through digital gadgets. Furthermore, a person will be able to contact and communicate with everyone if he masters digital literacy. Additionally, computer literacy is a part of compulsory education nowadays, so it has become an essential part of employment.

However, there exists another point of view on this issue.

First of all, educational level and professional competence are more important than basic computer skills. Moreover, there are some professions like teachers, psychologists where personality is more significant.

Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because digital literacy provides an opportunity for a person to participate in the intellectual competitions of world level. Besides, distance work is extremely popular nowadays and it is impossible without the knowledge of computer basics.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I must admit that the main way to success in modern world is the possession of computer skills.
