People have always been wondering how to achieve success. Nowadays a new possible answer came up. Some argue that being familiar with digital technology is essential in any job, others disagree. I would like to express my point of view on the subject.

In my opinion, digital literacy often lets you become successful. First, it helps to keep in touch with colleagues, companies and the whole economy. The use of technology makes it easier to form partnerships, discuss work and solve problems. This way you may achieve your goals easier and faster. Second, knowing how to deal with digital technology shows that you are flexible and hardworking. Many employers prefer workers who can adjust to new modern conditions.

Digital literacy makes you a good candidate for many jobs.

However, some people say being familiar with digital technology is not so important. They argue that there are many jobs which do not require working with any kind of digital technology, for instance, physical work.

I do not agree with this opinion. Digital literacy is important for people of all occupations because it lets them begin their career. You are not very likely to find a good job offer in a newspaper – nowadays most successful companies look for employees on the Internet. This is another reason why being digitally literate is important in any field.

In conclusion, there are different opinions on the subject. Personally, I think digital literacy is a major quality that helps you become successful.
