There are more disadvantages than advantages in living in a big city. (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Nowadays most people live in cities but not all of them think that it does more good than harm. Some people insist that living in cities is beneficial, whereas others disagree with it.

In my opinion, life in the countryside is much better. Firstly, a person can enjoy some simple thing of primary importance for our physical and mental health, such as fresh air, clean water and the calm atmosphere without additional noise. It is necessary for everyone. Secondly, you do not worry about your security because life in a country is safer than in cities.

As a rule, people are friendlier and the rate of crime is lower, therefore, people have not installed a home alarm system and they live happy without stress.

Nevertheless, the opponents of this point of view argue that the city life has many advantages unlike the living in a country. One of them is entertainment facilities. Cities provide numerous opportunities to relax and have fun with friends. For example, cinemas, zoos, theaters and other places where you can get positive emotions or even learn something new.

However, I do not agree with the above statement. Life in the country offers its own unique opportunities which must be accounted. You can swim in a river because water is not polluted with factories or hike in nearby forests and find mushrooms and berries. All of this will be a great spending time.

In conclusion, even though there is the opinion that living in cities have some advantages, I firmly believe that the life in the countryside is safer, healthier and much more exciting.
