Learning foreign languages is a waste of time and money example (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Nowadays learning foreign languages is very popular. There are two opposite opinions about it: one people think that studying foreign languages does not cost time and money that are spent on it while other people suppose that learning other languages is profitable.

In my opinion, studying languages is worth spending money and time on it. Firstly, it gives an opportunity to travel more freely and communicate with people from different countries, which would help to learn more about other countries and understand people better. Secondly, people who know different languages have got a chance to get many interesting jobs, which are not available for people without knowledge of any foreign language.

However, there are people who disagree with me. They believe that there is no sense in studying any language because nowadays anything can be translated with the help of Internet translators, so very few people really need to learn languages.

Nevertheless, I do not agree with the above-mentioned opinion.

There are lots of things a translator cannot translate very well. What is more, during political talks and in some other situations where people with different languages need to communicate with each other interpreters are quite necessary, because Internet translator cannot interpret so fast.

In conclusion, I would like to say that learning other languages has many advantages. It gives a lot of new opportunities and broadens people’s horizons.
