My flat (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

My home is situated on the main road. It is a five-storied building with balconies. Moreover, in front of the house, there is a kindergarden and another yard of the house situated next to ours. By the way, I live in a three-roomed flat that located on the first floor of our building.

There are some advantages and disadvantages living in the flat, I want shortly list them. On the one hand, flats are much cheaper than detached houses. Besides, almost all flats have all modern conveniences like gas, running hot and cold water, central heating and the like. Moreover, the flat’s building is usually located in the centre of activities that is why the whole infrastructure including shops, schools and so on can be at your disposal in 2 minutes.

On the other hand, at least you can have noisy neighbours around you. Nowadays, cities are crowded with cars that is why our block of flats may not have a parking lot for your car if you have one. For those people who are keen on communicating, there is a big minus connected with living in a flat: people there often do not chat with each other.

However, in our flat we have, as I have said, three rooms, including two bedrooms and a sitting room where we usually meet our guests. Let me introduce my flat to you starting with the hall. There you can see a shoe mat, a chest of drawers for shoes and a coat rack.

Next to it, we have two other rooms but I prefer to describe the kitchen room. The kitchen has all utensils for cooking, including an oven, a microwave, a fridge and so on. As for the sitting room, there we have a bookcase, a TV-Set, some armchairs and a sofa. In addition, it is should be noted that there is a carpet right on the floor. We usually like to spend our free time there watching some movies or discussing everyday routine.

As for the bedrooms, they are practically identical to each other. In the both bedrooms, we have divan-beds, wardrobes and some bookshelves. However, in my bedroom I have a computer table when at the same time in another bedroom there is a table with a TV-Set on it.

Most of all I like to say that the curtains in every room match the wallpaper. In addition, all the rooms are furnished with good taste by my grandmother, except the room of mine. In other words, I do not really care about the furniture in my room but I like when all the things in the room have their own place.

Well, my flat is within an easy reach to shops and all kind of activities in our town. However, frankly speaking we have a railway near the house so it is noisy there sometimes.

To sum it up I want to say that I like my flat.
