High school students should study only the subjects they choose пример 3 (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Some people claim that high school students should concentrate only on subjects they are interested in, and other ones ought not to be compulsory. Others have an opposite point of view. Let us examine this problem more closely.

In my opinion, the school program of high school seniors should not be expanded and students should study the subjects they need for entering to university or college. Firstly, students will prepare for final exams much better if they concentrate on necessary subjects. Secondly, for some people Math and Physics are very difficult and they do not have a desire to study them. Thirdly, senior pupils fell stressed because of a lot of homework and exams, so that would be much better to exclude some unnecessary subjects.

However, not all people share my point of view.

They say that humanitarians, for instance, need to study Algebra, as it can help them in daily life. Moreover, students should broaden their horizons in many spheres in order to be well-educated people.

I am afraid, I cannot agree with the above mentioned statement, as students study all essential information that can be useful for daily life in secondary school, so they do need to expand their knowledge in all spheres. Furthermore, a well-educated person is not someone who knows absolutely everything, so there is no necessity for high school seniors to attend all lessons.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I am convinced that high school pupils should concentrate on subjects that are essential for their future career, and other lessons can be a major distraction for them.
