Hi, Joey!

How are you? What is the weather like in Los Angeles right now? What are you doing these days?

You know, I thought about this summer and I decided to invite you to Russia! It will be great if you come in June. There will be so many things to see and do!

First, you should see Saint Petersburg.

It is the second largest city in our country and we call it the cultural capital. I am sure that you will like its beauty: old architecture, unusual museums and theatres, beautiful big parks, wonderful canals and bridges. In late spring and early summer there are also white nights in Saint Petersburg when the sun goes down for just a few hours. It is so pleasant to walk through the night town at that time!

After that I want to show you Karelia which we call the land of lakes. It is a very beautiful region where you will see how rich the plant world and the animal world of Russia are. In the tall thick forests there live bears, wolves, foxes, deer, elks and also a lot of smaller animals like hares, hedgehogs, squirrels. You will take many nice photos there.

Then we will go to the north – to the shore of the White Sea where I live. You will take even more great photos there. In my town there is a very long beach that we can walk along for hours enjoying the blue summer sky and the bright yellow sun in it. Next to the water there is a narrow forest with pine trees that are home to squirrels. Those squirrels are very cute and friendly. You can feed them by hand.

The Russian North is also famous for its rich culture. For example, we are very proud of our museum «Malye Korely» that has a lot of old village houses from different northern regions of the country.

In the north you will also meet unusual people – Pomors. They can live in a very cold climate and are good at fishing.

Joey, I hope you will agree to come to Russia this summer. We will have a perfect time together.
