Mikhail Lermontov once said that Moscow is unique and that it, unlike any other cities, has its own life and soul. He meant that Moscow is different than other cities or towns, that it has something incomparable inside of itself.

And I think he was right As the capital of Russia, Moscow is the center of all the life in our country. Firstly, it has many places of interest, such as the Bolshoi Theatre, which was the place for many spectacles, plays and performances like «Swan Lake» and «Evgeniy Onegin», or State Tretyakov Gallery, which is known as compilation of the finest arts made by Russian artists.

Secondly, the capital of Russia also has a great historical meaning: in the center of Moscow there is the Kremlin, the main political and historical place of the city. Finally, Moscow has also influenced a lot of different industries of Russian art like music, painting and literature: for instance, there are such books as «Master and Margarita» by Bulgakov or «Moskva» by Andrey Beliy and countless amount of music and paintings by various authors.

Despite that, there are also people who do not consider Moscow the center of Russia's life. For a change, some of them think that there are places which do not yield to Moscow in the matter of interest, like Saint Petersburg, which is famous for Hermitage and Kazan Cathedral.

However, Moscow is still considered to be the greatest place of interest in the country of Russia.

To conclude my reasoning, I would like to repeat once more that Moscow has the unparalleled sights in Russia and is indeed has its own life and soul.
