Music and arts should be taught in secondary school (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Nowadays a lot of people argue about the importance of music and arts for a good education in secondary schools. It is often believed that modern pupils ought not to have lessons of music and arts at the age of 13 to 16 and should concentrate more on other subjects. However, some people believe that music and arts is an essential part of education in secondary schools.

In my opinion, Arts and Music are necessary for a good education. Firstly, Art is a way self-expression and it can help a student to socialise and that is extremely important for teenagers. Secondly, art and music lessons are necessary for the «arts literacy». Without «arts literacy» you cannot enjoy, for example, a ballet, simply because you do not understand it.

Nevertheless, some people are convinced that subjects such as music and arts are not necessary for everyone, so it is not a good idea to force all the students to learn them. Pupils, who are interested in arts or talented in music, can attend special art schools.

I cannot fully agree with the above opinion as these people fail to understand that art and music are parts of our lives, so everyone should understand them. There is no place better than secondary school to learn arts and music, as schools gives basic knowledge about life, even if you do not want to connect you life with cultural heritage.

Taking everything into consideration, there are two opposing points of view on this problem of importance of arts and music in secondary school. As I see it, these parts of our culture are essential at this stage of education.
