The death penalty is the highest form of punishment that takes a person’s life. In some countries, this type of punishment still exists but in our country, the death penalty is prohibited. However, there are many people who do not agree with this.In this essay I would like to express my point of view on this issue.

To my mind, death penalty is permissible if a person has commited a terrible act. Firstly, I would not want the taxes that we pay to be spent on prisoners. addition, taxpayers may be relatives of the victim. Secondly, the death penalty can hold back many crimes. For example, in China is punished in this way not only for brutal murder, but also for a bribe. That is why there are few such crimes.

Other people do not think so.

To begin with, an error can always occur. In the case of the death penalty, it is no longer possible to justify an innocent. Moreover, maniacs who know that they already face the death penalty will commit new crimes because they have nothing to lose.

Despite the fact that truthful things were also said in the opposite point of view, I still think that the death penalty can be used. This is a method of protecting society from dangerous people. Even with life imprisonment, a criminal can escape from prison, or continue to kill already behind bars.
