Technical progress is harmful for the environment 2020 (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

In today's world technical progress improves our life every day. Some people believe that technical progress is harmful for the environment, while others think it is not true.

As for me, I am convinced that technical progress damages the environment. To begin with, everybody knows that factories cause air, sea and soil pollution. Tons of toxic waste poison our planet every minute. Secondly, problem of radioactive contamination is very actual nowadays. A lot of people suffer from radiation sickness. Finally, technical progress causes animal's and plants' death because they can be poisoned by waste from factories.

However, there is another point of view on this issue. First of all, some people think environmental damages are insignificant in contrast with advantages of technical progress.

Moreover, one should not ignore te fact that there are a lot of branches of technical development which are harmless for nature like digital technologies and bioengineering.

Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because it is silly to believe that environmental damages are unimportant when the Earth, our home, is about destruction. Moreover, it is obviously that there are far more harmful fields of activities connected with technological progress than harmless ones.

In conclusion, I would like to say that people should care about nature and think more about consequences of technological development.
