Friendships that lasts for a lifetime is a dream come true for a lot of people. However, there is an opinion that life-long friendship is not more than a work of fiction. So is life-long friendship just a myth? This question has always worried people, and the answer is not that simple.
On one hnd, people can make long-lasting relationships if they try hard enough. From my point of view, good friendship can last for a long time because of the connection between friends that makes it special. What is more, true friends do not forget and ignore each other, and that is the reason why good friendship does not end abruptly when friends are being separated by distance or something else.
On the other hand, some people believe that life-long friendship only exists in books and films. Friends tend to grow tired of each other eventually and cannot be together forever because of that.
Besides, many people are friends with each other because of selfish ends, and these kinds of friendship certainly are not long-lasting.
However, I still stand by the opinion that life-long friendship can exist in real life. Though friends may feel like they are getting bored of each other, usually what they need is a break to refill their energy and meet each other later with fresh thoughts.
In conclusion, friendship can last for almost a lifetime, but there is no doubt that it is a hard work to keep it. If you are not a good friend and do not help to strengthen your bonds with your friends, then your friendship will definitely not last for long.
