Some of my friends say there's nothing better than reading a good book while others would rather watch its film version (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

1) However, there is another point of view. Some claim that a film option of a book is better because it takes less time and people do not spend days and weeks to get an idea of a story. This shortness is relevant to busy people as students and workers.

I do not agree with this point of view. Considering films are brief they miss many details, omit characters and storylines or change them. As a result people cannot understand the author’s view, they acquire a scriptwriter’s version.

2) Some have another opinion. Watching films one might turn to a social event. People can spend time with their family or friends in the front of TV instead of reading alone.

Nevertheless, reading also can be socialized.

Family may arrange reading evenings and read aloud or discuss the written, but a book is fuller and deeper than a film, so it brings people together better.

3) There is another opinion. People argue that a film version is more spectacular because it has special effect, music and views of nature. All this creates an effect of presence and affects directly to an audience’s sensory organs, while a book influence an imagination.

However, a book option of a film brings strong feeling, too. Moreover, reading can convey more emotions provided that a person has a developed fantasy. Even he is not, books instill abstract thinking unlike a film alternative.
