38. Nowadays people are getting more and more concerned about ecology. While doing a project on what environmental problems Zetland teenagers consider to be the most dangerous, I have found an opinion poll on the same topic. In this essay I am going to analyze this information and give my opinion on the subject of my project.
The results contained in the table reveal that 22% of the respondents consider air pollution to be the most dangerous. 16% of the teenagers reckon water pollution the most harmful for the planet. Only 12% of the respondents chose the deforestation option.
It is also worth mentioning that the majority of the people chose global warming (44%), which is nearly seven times the percentage of those who picked rare species extinction (6%). The reason for this might be the lack of information about animals that die out. Global warming is talked about a lot, which is why many adolescents chose this option.
There are some issues that can arise with the environment in my region. One of them is tons of domestic waste that accumulate and poison the soil and water. A way of solving this problem is to recycle plastic, glass, and paper to decrease the amount of trash.
Personally, I think that environmental protection is crucial for teenagers. All young people should know about ecological problems and take actions to preserve life on Earth. They can take part in ecological events, recycle trash, and help educate others.
