Nowadays it’s almost impossible to imagine our life without Internet. Without doubt, it gave us a lot of opportunities and made our life easier.

First of all, I’d like to say that Internet gave us an opportunity for communicating with different people, from your neighbors to people in another country. There are a lot of Social Networks, chat rooms, mobile apps where you can type your message, and it’s likely to be delivered at once.

esides typing messages, you can also connect with other people using Skype. You see, it’s an excellent chance of seeing your friends or relatives who are at the other end of the world. Moreover, there are a lot of e-mail services where you can send letters and even attach files and photos. Despite of all the advantages, online communicating has a serious drawback. Of course, you can’t know it for sure that sent messages aren’t read by someone else, there are a lot of cases when personal correspondence was hacked, that’s why, without doubt, choosing means of online communication you should take all the precautions.

The other advantage which is worth mentioning is that Internet is a priceless source of information.

You see, there are a lot of encyclopedias, books, online lectures, webinars and so on. Without doubt, it can help people to broaden their mind, to learn something new and interesting, especially it’s helpful for students and pupils. Nevertheless I must say that there is a lot of rubbish in Internet, there is a lot of uncertain and false information, spam and advertising, so sometimes you don’t know where to choose the right information and how to get rid of obtrusive advertisement.

I’d like to say a lot of people conduct business in Internet. You see, they sell products, conduct online lessons and consultations, translate articles and so on, and I’d like to say, some people made a fortune selling various services in Internet. I must say besides having pluses, conducting business in Internet has some minuses. First of all, it’s fierce competition, because nowadays anyone can begin doing business in Internet.

esides, one of the biggest problems is copying. You see, no one can guarantee that your Internet project won’t be copied tomorrow by your competitors.

You must know that Internet is a way of entertaining as well. You see, there are a lot of games, films and music in it, so you can relax and spend some time in playing online game or listening to music. I can’t help mentioning that entertaining in Internet can make you dependent if you don’t know when to stop and spend too much time in it.

To sum it up, I must say that Internet has its own advantages and drawbacks, so it entirely depends on you if it is useful or harmful.
