Prison is a facility where thousands of people who are guilty in breaking the law serve their sentence. Many people believe that it is not the most effective method of punishing criminals while others disagree. I want to discuss it and show my point of view.

In my opinion, sending offenders to prison is the best way of punishing them because it helps to keep peace on our planet. Firstly, this system allows government to protect its citizens from possible danger because prisoners are isolated from the rest of society and cannot hurt someone again. Secondly, these facilities give criminals time to think and reflect on their actions. People start to understand their mistakes and regret about them.

On the contrary, others think that sending criminals to prison is an awful method of punishing them. They say that this facility cannot change offenders because they live in a cruel atmosphere.

As for me, I do not agree with the opposing opinion because prisoners have a chance to become a better person while serving their sentence.

Criminals learn that every bad action leads to consequences and they cannot escape them.

Mobile phones have become an important part of our lives in recent decades. Some people say that telephones are very dangerous for us and our health and we must not use them while others strongly disagree with them. I want to discuss it and show my point of view.

In my opinion, mobile phones make our lives better in many ways so there are no reasons to stop using them. Firstly, mobile phones give us an opportunity to always be connected with people we love. It is a privilege to be able to call or text people anytime and anyplace so we should not neglect it. Secondly, mobile phone is a multifunctional device that can be used for educational and entertainment purposes, as well as for taking pictures and writing emails.

On the contrary, others say that phones are harmful for people’s mental and physical health. Small screen makes our eyesight worse and radiation damages our brain. In addition, more and more people become addicted to their phones and spend less and less time without them.

As for me, I do not agree with the opposing opinion because phones produce less radiation than such technologies as microwaves, computers and TVs. Telephones also have a special setting that adapts your screen to different times of the day and saves your eyesight. Moreover, people can set a limit for their screen time to spend less time using a phone.

In conclusion, mobile phones have many benefits and should not be considered as a harmful invention.
