Expand on skills required for communication in global teams (Сочинение на свободную тему)

Needless to say that creating a truly multinational and multidisciplinary team, which members have unfamiliar backgrounds, cutting edge expertise, different customs and traditions, in commercial or non-commercial companies, state administration helps them more easily market the product in a particular country and come up with genuine solutions more frequently due to cultural diversity.

But to benefit from working in a global team it is vital to establish corporate culture built on tolerance, respect, mutual aid and the initial value of people, not money. For this employees must acquire the following communication skills to do well in such an organisation.

Primarily, friendly traits like honesty and kindness can help foster trust and mutual assistance. Small gestures such as asking someone how they’re doing, smiling as they speak or offering praise for work well done would definitely establish productive relationships with colleagues and managers. For instance, my uncle Sergey has been working in an international company with employees from India, China, Mexico but his boss was from Canada, Sergey made a brilliant decision to practice friendliness by remembering small, thoughtful details about his coworkers - after Independence day of Canada in the first of June he asked the boss how was it, his interest afforded both sides to connect in a profound way enhancing common results.

Secondly, adjusting one’s speaking voice so it can be heard in a variety of settings is a necessary and critical skill to succeed at work. Speaking too loudly may be disrespectful or awkward especially among team-focused cultures and can ruin the whole work since no large project can be done without social interaction. Finally, a great deal of communication happens through nonverbal cues such as body language, facial expressions and eye contact coming from another person.

By the same measure, we should be conscious of our own body language to ensure we are sending appropriate cues to others. For example, my sister was fired from her previous job because could not control her gestures and facial expressions regardless of what is said, unfortunately, it ruined the sense of togetherness in the team due to the negative influence on workers under her supervision, so, she was forced to go away.

To sum it up, being a member of a global team requires a person to have such skills as the ability to radiate friendliness, tuning up his/her voice and be aware of certain body language, then communication will be positive and productive affording people, companies extract all advantages of creating a multinational team.
